One of my closest friends, Amanda and Dan welcomed a beautiful boy, their first child, Aidan Edward back in December. I can’t look at these images without getting emotional because there are some things in life that I think you can’t truly understand or appreciate until having gone through it yourself and childbirth is one of them. The courage, surreality and accomplishment of bringing a child into this world solely from the power of own body, with God’s hand over you, still blows my mind. Not only did my beautiful friend brave child birth naturally she also had to have immediate surgery following giving birth. You wouldn’t have even known what she just endured from the peace and love that radiated from her, which is just one of the many gifts she’ll bring to mothering Aidan’s little heart.

That handsome little Aidan, with a surprising head full of hair is surrounded by so much love — my eyes well with tears thinking about it. And, I know what a lucky little boy he is to have Dan + Amanda as parents because I know what a gift their friendship has been to me. Oh, how we love you THREE! Congrats again, guys. xo
