Jakki + Keith wed under a beautifully draped tree in Jakki’s parents’ backyard with their friends, family + their dog, Max with the reception following at The Lace Factory.
I second shot this wedding for Katie Slater (who was with Carla Ten Eyck at the time). When I arrived Jakki said, “I felt like I hit the jackpot!” with having me as her second shooter. Obviously, I instantly loved her.
I am so grateful to have been a part of their day. This wedding had everything: A shake for breakfast. A shake for lunch. A sensible dinner. Those shoes that nurses wear. And you can dance the night away to the sounds of Donald Duck having a Vietnam nightmare… Just kidding. I can’t seem to say, “it had everything” without following it up with a line from Stefon.
Ok, seriously, this wedding really did have everything. The love was palpable; the weather, perfect; the ceremony, intimate; the reception, fun; and the details, gorgeous + sentimental. Speaking of details, all the beautiful florals you see were done by Jakki (her bizz is: Jakkelyn Iris Designs) with the help of her friend.
Like I said, I was grateful to be a part of their wedding for many reasons. Not only was the wedding great, but I always love shooting with Katie, I got to see my industry friend, Catie (formally of Dana Bartone & Co.) who did the beautifying and I got connected with Jakki, whom I now call a friend and get to work with on a couple of upcoming weddings this year.
As always, enjoy my favorites from their day. xo
They’ll be taught several items that they might require should they ever become trapped in the timber without their cellular phone.
Blow up bedding may also be popular for hiking and are an easy
way to create home-style comfort to the campgrounds.
